Tell us about yourself

My name is Amanda Justice. I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker owner and lead therapist at Child Therapy Solutions, PLLC. I am honored to be able to provide services that impact the lives of children and parents. What got me started working on my business was the COVID-19 pandemic. I always had a vision of owning a private practice. During the pandemic, I found myself ready to take the risk of making my dream a reality.

What motivates me each day is my clients and their growth and resiliency. I genuinely love what I do. Learning, researching, and consuming all things child behavior, attachment, and mental health, and then providing the best possible services to my clients, bring me joy every day. I can never learn enough to be able to offer the best to my clients.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment as a business owner has been the opportunities that I have gotten that have allowed me to tap into a new skill set of writing. I have been featured as an expert in parenting articles and a writer for a parenting app.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

The most challenging thing that comes with being a business owner is that it's all on you, so you have to be mindful of how you spend your time because you are the marketing department, billing department, receptionist, etc.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

The top 3 tips I would give anyone looking to start a business would be to be clear in your niche and your clients' pain points so your services can provide them with what they require. Use the resources/advice that are available to you, but personalize them and stay true to yourself and your vision. Network and connect with others, particularly someone who is doing what you want and doing it well!
