Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in content creation but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Allison Nitsch, owner of Allison Nitsch, LLC, located in New Braunfels, TX, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a podcast manager who helps busy entrepreneurs spread their message through podcasting. Those who have the desire to share more of their expert knowledge come to me to launch and/or manage their show.

Tell us about yourself

I am a former elementary teacher who left the classroom to pursue a desire to own my own business, which led me to podcast management! I listened to hours of podcasts to help me start and grow my own business, so I now enjoy working behind the scenes as a podcast manager. I want more women to share their stories with those who may need to hear them.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

First and foremost, just getting started. I wondered for years what I could do outside of the classroom. I wanted to work for myself and do things on my terms, and the fact that I had the courage to do it says a lot. But also being able to take an idea a client has and bring it to life through a podcast. Helping women accomplish their goals that they just didn't have time to achieve on their own. I also have my own podcast, Podcast With Purpose, where I share all of the things about podcasting.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest part is putting myself out there. Being vulnerable has not always been difficult for me, but making sure that what I have to offer is heard, can be a tricky piece of the puzzle.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Believe in yourself. If you have the desire to start a business, be able to be your own boss, find what makes you happy and go for it. No one is holding you back but you!
  2. Some days get tough. You give everything your all, but not everything will go as planned. Just keep your head up and be consistent. You will not succeed until you continuously keep going.
  3. Trust the process. It can seem like you are going through a maze at times, but eventually, you find your way to the end.
