What's your business, and who are your customers?
I am the founder of a holistic wellness business offering various services and experiences to nourish my client's bodies, minds, and souls.
Tell us about yourself
I started my business as a massage therapist working just a half day each week while I worked as a server at a restaurant. As my client base grew, I began doing more massage then also teaching yoga and nutritional therapy. I eventually quit the restaurant and became certified in life and wellness coaching. Today my business focuses on bodywork and coaching for women. What motivates me is that I get to help people feel better in their bodies so they can do all the things they love. I experienced chronic pain for a couple of years, so I understand how consuming and depressing it is. This is what led me to massage school, yoga, and nutrition in the first place. I also love holding space for women to cultivate a better relationship with themselves. Everything I create is from my heart and from my own life experiences of not feeling worthy, people-pleasing, and not knowing or loving my true authentic self.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
The relationships I've created with my clients.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Having to put yourself out there. I am my brand, so I'm sharing from a very vulnerable place.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Get clear on your WHY and your message.
- Not everyone has to like you or be your biggest fan, and it's ok.
