Your Big Dream Is Yours for Taking - Aliya Levinson Coaching

Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in coaching but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Aliya Levinson, Founder of Aliya Levinson Coaching, located in New York, NY, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

We are a coaching and consulting business that helps ambitious self-starters achieve fulfilling relationships and successful businesses/careers by breaking free from limiting beliefs and helping them skyrocket their confidence. We help these entrepreneurs and professionals let go of imposter syndrome, people-pleasing tendencies, and lack of balance so they can claim a life + career that lights them up from the inside out.

Tell us about yourself

Our brains are wired to tell us limiting and negative stories about who we are and what we're capable of. Most of us believe these stories and don't challenge them. This results in us taking action from a disempowered place and living our lives in a manner that isn't reflective of our true nature, let alone potential.

I've spent years allowing the voice of my "inner critic" to dictate my life. It impacted the quality of my relationships, my confidence, and the extent to which I've allowed myself to "dream big."

When I learned about the coaching field, I realized all of the false, unproductive narratives I was choosing to believe. I decided that it was my duty to change this for myself so I could live a life and career that was authentic to who I was. It became my mission to help others: entrepreneurs, professionals, men, and women (all the people!) to bet on themselves and see their desires come to fruition. This skill goes hand in hand with learning to confidently claim and express their FULL, authentic self in their most important relationships.

What motivates me every day is knowing that there are people out there that don't have these tools and therefore discount themselves before they even begin. My goal is to help others live, be, and achieve in the way they know (deep down) they're meant to.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My clients' accomplishments TRULY feel like my own accomplishments, and that's what makes this business so rewarding (for everyone)! Our clients have created authentic relationships + deeper friendships, surpassed their biggest financial goals, brought on their first clients, landed their dream jobs, and more.

My biggest personal accomplishment is writing my first book, "How To Win With Willpower" while pregnant with my first child. There was a 3-month deadline to complete the book, so I learned a whole lot about willpower and staying the course, to say the least!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

As business owners, the vitality of our business comes down to our vitality. That means that for our business to thrive, we (the business owner) must first learn how to thrive ourselves. Personally, this was a hard-earned but beautiful lesson. It taught me to listen to and honor my needs, understand how to make powerful and aligned decisions, and how to fill up my cup and take care of myself. This is still a challenge, but a truly beautiful one. The more I care for myself; the more my business is positively impacted. And that's something I can get behind.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Learn to see your challenges as opportunities to grow and expand. How could you reframe it or see it as an opportunity if there is an unexpected circumstance or setback?
  2. You don't have to see the WHOLE picture. Just focus on completing the task that's right in front of you. The bigger picture of what you're creating will begin to materialize, one step at a time.
  3. When babies learn to walk, if they don't get it "right" the first time, don't sit back down and stay seated for the next eight years. They'll cry and get frustrated, but they will get back up. They will try again. If you're a bit wobbly the first time you try something new: congrats! You're human. Expect the wobbles. Expect to fall, to be tested, and remember that with enough practice and determination...you will walk.
