What's your business, and who are your customers?
I own the FEG Brand, which is an Eyelash and Eyebrow enhancer serum product. My customers are primarily women (though Men also use my products) who need to enhance their eyelashes and eyebrows.
Tell us about yourself
I was first introduced to this business by my son, Imran, who had started several businesses, and he convinced me to start my own and say goodbye to Corporate American, where I had worked for 30 yrs. I wish I had made the switch earlier; having my own business has given me the freedom to pursue my dreams. What motivates me every day is to run my business profitably to pursue my dreams.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being self-reliant, self-motivated & independent.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
Nothing except running the business out of my home, which does cause some friction with my wife as she prefers to separate the business from the personal space, and I prefer working from home.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Go for it. No hold barred. Give it everything you got. Be honest and take care of your customers. Be smart about it. The universe will conspire to get you where you wish to go.
