What's your business, and who are your customers?

agile42 is a provider of Agile consulting, training, and coaching services. Our customers are primarily organizations looking to adopt or improve their Agile practices in order to drive more business value and deliver better products and services, regardless of the industry they operate in. Our clients come from a variety of industries, including finance, healthcare, software development, e-commerce, and many others.

Tell us about yourself

I have always been driven by my passion for teamwork and collaboration. Throughout my career, I have seen the positive impact that effective teams can have on organizations. This led me to become deeply interested in Agile approaches, and I became convinced of their ability to improve the way teams work together. With agile42, I'm proud to be part of a company that has demonstrated the scalability and international reach of Agile practices without the need for rigid hierarchies or departments. My motivation each day is to help even more people find a better balance between their work and personal lives and to enjoy both to the fullest.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

One of my biggest accomplishments as a business owner is building agile42 into a successful and growing company that provides valuable services to clients and has a positive impact on the world. I am proud that we have achieved a respected position in terms of thought leadership within the Agile community worldwide. I attribute this success to our talented and dedicated team, as well as our supportive and thriving company culture. Additionally, being able to serve a diverse and international group of clients and help them find new motivation and focus in their businesses through Agile practices is a significant accomplishment that I am proud of.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

As a business owner, I recognize the challenges and responsibilities that come with taking risks and growing a company. I understand that my decisions affect not only my own life but also the lives of my employees and their families. This can be both rewarding and threatening, especially when making decisions quickly with limited information. Despite these challenges, it is important to trust my instincts and principles and remain humble even in the face of success. It is essential to acknowledge that success is the result of a combination of hard work, good intuition, and luck.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

Sure, there are the things I would recommend to anyone willing to start a business today; in fact, these are what I share with all of our customers:

  1. Start with a clear vision and mission, driven by passion. Define what your business stands for, what problem it solves, and what sets it apart from others. It's important to be deeply passionate about your business's purpose, as this will provide the energy and drive needed to overcome challenges and succeed. This will guide all of your future decisions and help you stay focused on your goals.
  2. Build and maintain strong relationships. Relationships with customers, employees, partners, and suppliers are critical to the success of any business. Make sure to communicate effectively, listen actively, and prioritize their needs. Ultimately a great team will make a difference.
  3. Stay flexible and adaptable. The business landscape is constantly changing, and being able to pivot quickly and effectively is crucial for success. Stay open-minded, embrace new technologies and ideas, and be willing to make changes when necessary. By doing so, you will be able to navigate any challenges and capitalize on new opportunities.
