What's your business, and who are your customers?
Agency Jet is a full-service digital marketing agency with six office locations in the United States. Our customers are small business owners who are looking to turn their company website into their #1 employee and use it to grow their bottom lines.
Tell us about yourself
I fell into SEO over 10 years ago. Fresh out of college with a teaching degree, I took an internship at a digital reputation company, became a full-timer, and then stayed in the agency setup ever since. 6 years ago, me and my two partners decided to start Agency Jet. We saw digital marketing agencies not putting their customers first, and we wanted to change that. I'm motivated by offering education to clients that truly help them grow and learn. It's not about the money we make; it's about who we can help.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
Being able to hire talented individuals and shaping them into people who will seriously disrupt the industry with unique insights and supreme value to customers.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
Speed. You want to move lightning-quick, but you have to be thoughtful and considerate of what's possible.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- No one is watching you, so don't worry about what people think. Worry about doing what you think is right.
- Grit is your number 1 quality. Running a business is one of the hardest things you'll do. If you're prone to quitting things, it's not for you.
- It only takes one piece of content, one post, one conversation to propel your business to the next level. Be a giver first, and your business will grow.
