What's your business, and who are your customers?
Afro Herbalist is a salon providing personal services such as hair removal, facials, and body sculpting. Most of our customers are women of all ages.
Tell us about yourself
My name is Brandee Marie Buckley. I became a licensed esthetician in 2018. After Covid 19 and the quarantine, I started to work on my business. I enjoy being the boss and having control over my schedule.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner would be my feature in the Warren weekly newsletter three months after opening my salon.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things about being a business owner is after Covid is searching for employees.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- I would suggest never giving up on your goal.
- Have a good purpose, and treat everyone with respect.
- Excellent customer service is essential.
