What's your business, and who are your customers?
Adventurist Soap Co. is a natural and biodegradable products business whose purpose is to make soaps and lifestyle for the adventurous-spirited person!
Tell us about yourself
I'm Daina. I was inspired by other makers; I loved watching videos of other soap makers making soap; it was so therapeutic! I wanted to make my own products without all of the other yucky chemicals and added ingredients; as someone who grew up with a bad case of eczema, using natural and plant-based ingredients was very important.
My motivation is that I get to help build a community of adventure enthusiasts around my business, and I get to network with other organizations that want to see more underrepresented people in the outdoor space (black, brown, disabled, etc.)
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner has been building a loyal customer base who share the same vision of encouraging outdoor adventure.
What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?
The hardest thing about being a business owner is not giving up. It is so easy to get discouraged and think that you're not good enough or that you don't belong in this space. It's so important to stay positive and be kind to yourself.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

- It's hard, but don't give up.
