Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Adriana Sorgi, a relationship coach, fitness coach, and author based in Los Angeles, CA, USA.
What's your business, and who are your customers?
I help women heal their precious hearts by releasing any old blocks and baggage that get in the way of true love. I take them through a powerful journey in which they begin to discover and embrace all of who they are unapologetically. When they begin to love and accept who they are, their lives transform... They become visible to the right partner as they know who they are and the value they bring into the relationship.
Tell us about yourself
I started my business 10 years ago after I went through a devastating divorce that left me confused and terrified about my future. I used to carry the belief that I needed a man to support me and that I wasn't capable of making it on my own. It was an irrational belief that was passed down to me from my upbringing and my culture. I had a very strong desire to be a powerful woman and do something extraordinary with my life despite my subconscious programming. I was relentless and never gave up. My greatest motivation today is to inspire other women that are going through similar situations to see what is really possible for them too. Finding true love begins within. Being a powerful woman requires discipline, consistency, courage, and a lot of self-love.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
I think seeing my business go through so many ups and downs throughout the years... I am still here, loyal to it - believing in it, giving it the love and attention that it requires, and finding new ways to serve my clients more powerfully. That is my biggest accomplishment as a business owner. My loyalty to my "calling" no matter what I go through in my personal life.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
The hardest thing is that no one is going to take care of your business the way you do. If you don't show up for it, it won't show up for you.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
Ask yourself these 3 questions:
- Why do I want to start a business?
- What is my intention for my business?
- How will my business make a difference in the world?
See how your answers feel inside you. If it feels exciting, fun, and inspiring, you're onto something! Always focus on "how" what you do makes you feel. When you know the value you provide and absolutely love what you do, your business becomes a playground.
