Tell us about yourself

I started my web agency over 20 years ago. But during the pandemic, I was inspired to redirect it a little bit. Based on the fact that I and so many others were struggling with being cut off from doing things that make life rich and vibrant, including traveling, wine tasting, going to art museums, etc., etc. And when contemplating this, I realized that that is the experience of people with disabilities every single day. Because they are largely cut off from the web.

My passion for people with disabilities to have equal access to travel comes from the fact that my brother is disabled. She has epilepsy and is developmentally delayed.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Supporting clients and my staff to succeed every day is my biggest achievement as a business owner.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Dealing with fear. As an entrepreneur who pushes the limits and goes beyond what is "safe," managing the accompanying fear is the key to success.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Being an entrepreneur is not for everyone. Consider carefully if it is true for you.
  2. Be willing to take risks even when scared.
  3. Know when to delegate (which includes giving up control!!).
