What's your business, and who are your customers?

My business is Pole Fitness/Dancing. My customers are anyone 18 and older, male/female.

Tell us about yourself

I have been an athlete all of my life, and I am also extremely competitive. I started taking pole classes in 2009 just to try it out. I was having a difficult time trying to understand the concept. As a teacher by profession, I started looking for ways to make it make sense to me.

As I traveled to different studios, I began to understand different ways of learning, which turned into different ways of teaching. I have met a lot of cool and interesting people from all walks of life.

I love teaching and seeing others feel accomplished in a non-judgment zone. I am motivated by the people I meet and the accomplishments of myself and the individuals to be more confident in themselves.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Opening my business is my biggest accomplishment.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

This business has highs and lows because of schedules with work and children, and a husband. Maintaining your business is the hardest.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Always keep GOD first.
  2. Always remember why you started the business in the first place.
  3. Believe in your brand even when you are the only one that believes in it.
