What's your business, and who are your customers?
My business is a mobile holistic health and wellness practice for women. My customers are women who want to receive affordable and practical holistic health services in the comfort of their homes in order to maintain their overall wellness.
Tell us about yourself
I am an Army veteran who has morphed into a women's holistic health practitioner. I started out as a massage therapist, and now I offer a variety of holistic health services to my clients. I am motivated by my client's testimonies about how my services have impacted their lives. It is truly a calling and a blessing.
What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?
My biggest accomplishment as a business owner so far is starting my annual herbal conference for Black and Indigenous herbalists called the Gullah Geechee Herbal Gathering.
What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?
One of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner is wearing a lot of hats in your business, especially as a solopreneur, and maintaining your well-being in the process.
What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?
- Providing good service to your customers is crucial to gaining their loyalty and retaining their business.
- Understand that there will always be needed risks as well as rewards.
- Stay focused on your goals for your business, and never forget your why!
