Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Stephanie Willis, Founder and Owner of A Pivot To Wellness, located in Grayson, GA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

A Pivot To Wellness teaches people nine foundations of health. Our clients are addressed as a whole, Mind, Body, and Spirit. When one of these areas is out of balance, all areas are out of balance which can lead to any and all physical and mental issues. Our clients are looking for natural and holistic ways to help the mind and body heal and are willing and ready to take steps to gain control of their lives.

Tell us about yourself

I am a Board Certified Natural Wellness Practitioner. In October 2022, I will be a Board Certified Doctor of Holistic Health. Being number 7 of 11 siblings, I found my place in the family, always helping or teaching. We were the only house in the hood with a garden as my parents taught us the importance of eating real food from the earth.

One of my earliest memories is sensing imbalances in people and wanting to help them. Now over 30 years later, I create individual wellness plans to help clients take back or get the life they always wanted. I find, release and balance energetic imbalances in my clients. Seeing my clients succeed and naturally heal makes me love what I do and motivates me to keep going.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

My biggest accomplishment to date is teaming up with other health professionals to create three natural fertility programs for individuals and families who have issues getting and staying pregnant.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

One of the hardest things I have experienced as a new business owner is explaining what natural and holistic health is and how it benefits everyone.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Make sure you have finances to cover at least 6-12 months of personal and business expenses before starting.
  2. Have a clear goal for what you want to do and how you want to do it while also being open to changing the "how."
  3. Join a business networking group. PowerCore is in the state of Georgia and is amazing for businesses.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

It takes a village to keep a person healthy. I am one part of the health village by teaching natural and holistic lifestyle modifications. I work directly with my clients, their medical doctors, and other health specialists with the end goal of getting and keeping each client healthy.
