Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in personal and business development but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Mizzy Deep, Founder of 8Deep Consulting Services, LLC., located in Cincinnati, OH, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

8Deep has been a strong advocate for small business success! We have a dedicated team of professionals that assist small businesses with starting, growing, and expanding their small business.

Tell us about yourself

Honestly, I didn't start my business or enter Entrepreneurship with the dream of being who I am today. I started off blindly and inexperienced in business. I literally walked into a networking event and introduced myself and my skillset, and walked out with four individuals who were willing to give me a chance as my new clients and are still rocking with me today. Reflecting on far I have grown, how far my clients have grown, and the vision that was laid out for me is my motivation. Every time I thought I would give up (in those difficult moments of advancement), I was encouraged to keep going. Now that I have a taste of financial freedom, I stay motivated to exemplify that for the next generation.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

I have earned two Humanitarian awards. That means a lot to me because it speaks of my character and not just as a business.

What's one of the hardest things that comes with being a business owner?

The hardest for me was building a team and scaling my business. I think this is difficult because you have to trust people and find people that can respect the vision and are willing to grow with you. Also for me, I operate out of several cities and states, and finding a team that can deliver with my level of integrity is important.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Write the vision down, review it, and structure an implementation plan. Strategy is more important than you think starting out.
  2. Invest in financial literacy. Money is good until it isn't enough. You need credit, you need to become your own bank, and you need to know how to leverage and obtain Other People's Money (OPM).
