What's your business, and who are your customers?

Customized communication skills coaching, training, and assessments for adults, working individuals, and teams to develop clear and confident interpersonal, professional, and ESL/cultural communications, using a proven system to synchronize verbal and non-verbal communications and send the right vibe,' every time.

Tell us about yourself

In 2006, I focused on one of the main categories that a Life Coach helps people with - communication skills. I combined it with my unique skill-set and background to create the new "Communication Coach" niche. I love helping people, especially immigrants.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Global Gurus recently ranked 3V Communications founder Ric Phillips the #13 Communication Professional in the world for 2022. Strict criteria for selection include being a published author, sharing original thought leadership pieces, and the public vote.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Asking for help, knowing that you need help, that you shouldn't (have to) do it alone.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Get clear on your vision - the reason why the business should exist. Make it part of your marketing.
  2. Get good at marketing - understand the principles of persuasion, web copy, and various tools. It's more than just knowing how to operate social media apps.
  3. Find someone - anyone - to join your quest. A business partner, mentor, advisor, co-worker, etc. It's hard to do it alone, and your growth will be much slower the longer you stay by yourself.

Is there anything else you'd like to share?

Communication skills are key to an entrepreneur's success. You have to network, pitch, market, lead teams and negotiate. Invest some time into these soft skills.
