Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health and wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Lucia Tiffany, Owner of 3-D Health LLC, located in Yankee Hill, CA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I coach people with pre-diabetes and Type 2 diabetes to normalize their blood sugars and keep their eyes, legs, and kidneys using lifestyle interventions, including plant-based nutrition, appropriate types and timing of exercise, and stress management.

Tell us about yourself

I started working on reversing chronic lifestyle diseases at the age of 9! My parents are a doctor/nurse team that was passionate about sharing the good news of how to make choices that support long-term health. I started teaching healthy eating and other types of health education early. That got me interested in becoming a nurse and health educator. After running intense lifestyle change programs like CHIP (the Complete Health Improvement Project) and working at live-in lifestyle change centers, I was hooked on supporting people in getting their health back! I come from a family of diabetics and have spent years watching some reverse their disease with lifestyle and others losing vision, limbs, and life to the disease because they didn't put that effort in. I believe I was put on earth to share what I have learned so that others can enjoy longer, happier lives with clear minds, to choose their destiny freely.

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Guiding people's lives through transformation and watching them get off their medications, have more energy, and be happier!

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Learning how to build an effective team and letting go of things I love doing (like tech areas of business) so that I can focus on the things in my business that only I can do.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Be super clear on three things - what problem you solve, who you solve it for, and the results you can deliver.
  2. Be a real leader - responsible, in integrity, create real connections and healthy relationships in all areas of your life, be generous, and always be of service.
  3. Keep your life priorities straight and operate in full alignment with them - for me, that is God first, family second, and community third.
