Interested in starting your own entrepreneurial journey in health & wellness but unsure what to expect? Then read up on our interview with Nora Oliver, Founder of 10x Nora Oliver, located in Woburn, MA, USA.

What's your business, and who are your customers?

I am a motivational speaker, coach, author, and single mother of 3 young children. I hold different speaking events for small and large companies across the United States. Companies offer my services to their employees as employee benefits. I offer one-on-one coaching services as well, in person and via Zoom.

Tell us about yourself

I attended Suffolk University, which propelled me into a thirteen-year executive career in the Wireless Telecom Industry, managing multiple projects across the North East. I was married with three exceptional, intelligent, beautiful young children. It was all a dream come true until it wasn't.

First, a devastatingly painful divorce, and then, in the middle of the divorce, COVID hit. I was scared, lost, and alone. I had crippling anxiety and was in financial hardship with no one to turn to. I fell into a deep depression. I knew I needed a solution fast. I needed to learn radical self-love. I put a plan into place, made goals, and followed through with them. I learned how to re-wire my mind.

I realized I had to stop looking outside of myself, find happiness, connect with my inner self, and do a total reset of my mind, body, and nutrition. I made it my life mission to help others, so you don't have to struggle as I did!

What's your biggest accomplishment as a business owner?

Seeing how my company makes a difference in others' lives. Seeing others feeling happy and enjoying living an entire life.

What's one of the hardest things that come with being a business owner?

Starting a business is very hard at first. Understanding what needs to be done and how it can be a struggle. Having the will and vision is always a help to being successful.

What are the top tips you'd give to anyone looking to start, run and grow a business today?

  1. Start with a vision.
  2. Have an actual business plan.
  3. Don't skip any steps to growing a business. Keep the vision with you always, especially during rough days.
